Last 60 Days Exam Strategy for CA Inter Exams - Planning & Preparation Strategy.

As students prepare for the upcoming CA Inter examinations, the Institute announced the exam dates for the CA Inter exam way back. However, with the possibility of exam dates being postponed due to the announcement of election dates, a planned approach to preparation is needed. Completing CA Inter classes and ensuring an in-depth understanding of the course serve as a key in the initial steps. Students should focus on detailed notes and summary notes as the main preparation process begins after class. Despite possible date changes, students now have a total of 75 days to prepare.

Revision for the CA Inter exams should be divided into three parts, with the most time allocated to the first revision, followed by less time for the second, and the least time for the third revision.

First Revision

According to our calculations, students should spend 42 days on CA Inter revision. Since students have to cover 6 subjects, this equals to 7 days per subject

During this revision,

  • Students should focus on making and reviewing summary notes for all chapters, ensuring they cover the necessary content.

  • They should also attempt questions from the CA Inter Study Material, particularly focusing on whether they can answer theory questions using only their summary notes.

  • Additionally, students should review class questions and consider taking mock tests to assess their understanding.

Second Revision

Students should Set aside 21 days for the second revision, focusing on improving summary notes and Solving CA Inter RTPS and MTPS.

  • Review summary notes to ensure they cover all relevant information and can effectively answer questions.

  • Add any mistakes from previous revisions to the summary notes so that your summary notes is completely prepared for the exams.

  • Watch marathon videos to improve understanding and completeness of the summary notes.

  • Solve the Revision Test Papers (RTP) and Mock Test Papers (MTPs) available on the institute's website.

  • Review important questions provided by your teachers during your classes.

  • Take a full mock test of all the subjects to check your preparedness and discover areas for improvement.

Third Revision

During the third revision, which extends 10 days, students should focus on making a list of tough questions they discovered while practicing.

  • These questions may come from a variety of sources, including CA Inter institute materials, past papers, teacher-provided questions, RTPs, MTPs, and mock tests.

Students should make a list of difficult questions, including page and question numbers, and attach it to their summary notes. This enables effective revision because they may rapidly review both the summary notes and the difficult questions. While revising these difficult questions, it is important to review any previous mistakes to avoid repeating them.

  • And solve a full mock test in your last revision as well.

By completing the three revisions as outlined, students will have thoroughly reviewed their summary notes multiple times. They will have also completed chapter-wise and full mock tests, providing insights into their strengths and weaknesses and helping them identify areas where mistakes are commonly made. This comprehensive preparation ensures that students are well-equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills for the exam.

On the day before the exam, students can use their summary notes and go through the questions list. This last-minute revision can help reinforce their understanding and boost their confidence before the exam.

Despite all these thorough preparation, some students may still feel unsure about their readiness for the exam. They may become emotional and indecisive about attempting both groups of the exam. To help such students assess their preparedness and make informed decisions, we offer a One-to-One preparation assessment.

In this assessment, we take into account all relevant information and provide personalized guidance on whether students are fully prepared for the exam, whether they should attempt both groups or just a single group, and offer further guidance. This assessment is available on our website for a nominal fee, providing students with valuable insights and support during this crucial time.
